I'm two degrees to all the major American Republican politicians and most major Democratic politicians for the past half century and all the major RC hierarchy for the last quarter century. I guess that puts me within 3 degrees of a couple billion people or so.

I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

2 degrees to Pope JP II and Benedict increases my range globally rather substantially.I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. Psssh, shaking hands with someone once doesn't count.
I went to a Bill Clinton book signing, and he shook my hand and commented on my t-shirt, but I wouldn't count that as a connection. I met Ken Starr today, and since it wasn't a public event (it was at the Fox News studio) it'd be a little more relivant, but I still wouldn't honestly count it.
I met the Chairman of the Federal Parole Board once on the Metro. We talked for like 20 minutes. He gave me his business card and such. I can count him. He serves with the Attorney General and no doubt knows lots of people in the administration. So I know lots of higher ups that way.
Plus I know, on a first name basis, this one guy who works for the House Minority Leader, Nancy Pelosi, so through him, and her, I can get all the top political bigwigs on both sides of the aisle.
Plus I know lots of non-profit people of course, and a lot of them have political connections. So I'm pretty sure I've got everyone in Washington covered.Captain of Team Apolyton - ISDG 2012

Which side are we on? We're on the side of the demons, Chief. We are evil men in the gardens of paradise, sent by the forces of death to spread devastation and destruction wherever we go. I'm surprised you didn't know that. --Saul Tigh

I was good friends with a future Jeopardy! College Champion as a child; so I'm 2 degrees from Alex Trebek, and thus 3 degrees from everyone who has even been on Celebrity Jeopardy! and Politicians Jeopardy!"My nation is the world, and my religion is to do good." --Thomas Paine
