    AMD isn't Canadian by any stretch of the imagination.

    Both Intel and AMD are American.

    I think you confused ATI with AMD. ATI is a Canadian company, their campus is about 5 minutes from where I work.

      Oh, well, damn. There goes my rationale for actually caring if AMD won.

      In any case, I'm hoping this case doesn't really go anywhere, mostly since AMD seems to be doing just fine, thank you.

          One of my co-workers used to work at Intel. When he heard about this, his only comment was "It's about time."

          BTW, the people who are dismissing this out of hand should read the complaint. There's some very interesting stuff in there. Whether or not it's true is another matter, but a lot of it squares with personal knowledge. And given that Intel has yet to really contest similar charges from the JFTC, they're probably in trouble.
