        I said last year that it would be Snape, if only for the logical succession that has to follow in order for Harry to have a shot at becoming an Auror. Harry must get into advanced Potions to have that shot; the only way he gets in is if Snape is not teaching Potions (since Harry's grades aren't good enough and I remember Dumbledore or McGonagall saying they couldn't interfere with Snape's decisions in this regard). The only way Snape doesn't teach Potions is if he gets the job he's long coveted, Defense Against the Dark Arts. He gets the job; someone else moves in for Potions and accepts Harry into the class; Snape bites it at the end of the year thanks to the Dark Arts curse and Voldemort's desire for revenge against him.

        I see no reason to change that line of thinking now. I agree with whoever said Dumbledore needs to be around for book seven.
