Ask my mother who is a teaching assistant! I don't think they are anywhere near a majority but they are noticed, and they cause disruption and trouble for others.

Erm, I have mentioned absolutely nothing to do with colour. It's about their behaviour, demeanour and antisocial nature, ie, yobs.

You don't have to be an ethnical minority to be targetted by police because of your looks.

Truth is, that both chavs and their equivalents from other countries and ethnicities are on in the majority of the cases non-criminal people that live in a bad subculture.

And, again, as far as cultures go, chavism is hardly the worst of them.

On the contrary, there is institutionalised racism but these little sh*ts are just troublecausers and are very hard to touch by the authorities...and therein lies the problem. And the knowledge that your tax money will be going to support them for the rest of their damn lives as they have nothing to put back into society...

Chavs are not an ethnicity, they aren't even a class in the classic sense of wealth. A lot of their gear is very expensive, a lot of it is poor quality rip off-tat. They are heavily into branding, and Burberry to name one is not cheap.

If you give me a couple of minutes I can churn out a list of well known and 'honoured' cultures and subcultures that are inferior to them due to this.

To be fair, I know a few "chavs" in this town who are generally nice people who, for what ever reason, left education. They, like lots of chavs, drink and do drugs and act tough because they've got little else. No education (and I've heard quite a few of them regret their decision to leave at 16) and not prospects beyond low level office/manual work...

Because I know them, they never put on the tough front around me. It's sad to know that in 10 years, I'll have my degree or more and good career prospects. They'll still be in this town.

That was the russian version, mind you. Mostly ok people, and don't do drugs. These are in their mid 20s, as you can see, and mostly in Russia, they either become decent people, or turn to crime.
