I've always thought "be yourself" to be bull****. Particularly since those who say it close to invariably go on to tell me to act as if I were someone else.

Regarding nuts and skulls, I've never been hit in the head by a hammer (thank God), but I'm open to the idea it's worse than being kicked in the groin. Getting your skull cracked does not sound appealing.

Depends on what he wants . If he wants to just get laid , then he can go ahead and pretend . If he wants something more serious , then it is possible to do what I said without any pretending whatsoever .

I didn't copy that from any dating site . Why do you think I did ? Playing on people's desires/insecurities is something that is quite easy , that is why I suggested it . FYI , the entire post is original , because the subject is so broad , and though it is easy to break down into steps , it never really works as smoothly in practice - hence the disclaimer that it is very general advice .

Good for moving on with girl two but I'd avoid the conversation with girl one.
