But you've completely avoided discussing this issue in relation to culture. You're doing exactly what you claim mindseye is doing. Trying to use small points to prove a bigger one. The difference is that mindseye's points are back up by verifiable sources and together show a general culture of indifference toward others in China. You're arguing about individuals, while he is discussing culture.

I'll agree with you that the Chinese people are just like everyone else. But it is their culture that divides them for better or worse.

I got the feeling that this "Chinese" culture is simply the culture of an extremely rapidly urbanizing society and not specific to any place or people. It's the ugly side of 10% economic growth and instant cities such as Shenzhen (population in the millions, built from the ground up in 20 years and still growing).
