Just saw it. Best Batman movie ever.

Perfect casting too. Bale plays a convincing Batman, he is full of rage, and this is something that needed to be portrayed in a Batman movie.

But "great" is hyperbole. "Very good" is more apt.

And if he's not available, maybe they can get Billy Zane.

I've heard they're considering... wait for it... Crispin Glover as the Joker. This could go either way, but I'd be interested in seeing it.

When he was younger, I always thought James Woods would be a great Joker.

Haven't seen the film yet, but what I like about batman is the usually tragic story of the bad guys and how they tragically end their lives.

I think I liked batman 2 most and batman 3 was cool too but wierd. I don't remember batman 1 enough to judge.

Haven't seen batman 4 cause I thought clooney and arnold would suck (as i heard they did)

This one rivals Batman 1, which IMHO is the best of the pack.

BM1 had lots of humor. IIRC, this one has only two jokes: We're waiting for backup, and can you drive a stick? This one is much darker and grimer. Remember, this is supposed to be a comic book!

I like what they did with Gary Oldman's Gordon. I'm tired of the dottering old fool they usually have. Even the red hair was good because IIRC red-headed Batgirl is Gordon's daughter.

This movie had the best Batcave. In the other versions, I kept looking at all the superduper construction and kept asking myself: Who the heck built all that stuff? Plus, this had the more realistic entrance.

I can't decide if I like the new Batmobile or not. It's a cool looking beastie but it just doesn't look like the Batmobile.

The monorail was weird. It was what 50-60 stories off the ground? How are people supposed to get up to the platforms, if any?

Morgan Freeman was wasted. Also, I'd like to have seen that role played as a semi-dranged recluse . . . some geeky guy that's been working by himself for decades and has gone 'round the bend, but who is more than willing to show off his toys.

Have you ever actually read the comic? This is a man paranoid enough to come up with plans and build devices capable of taking out his friends. Not a whole lot of jokes there.
