I've really gotten into Dimmu Borgir lately starting with "Enthrone Darkness Triumphant". Brilliant stuff despite that I cant understand a word (the growling just kinda mixes-in as another instrument). I have to wonder why they bothered to switch to english from norwegian.

The New Pornographers: Twin Cinema

I hate hard. the New Pornographers are coming to town in two weeks though I doubt I will see them since I already have four concerts to see this month (Sigur Ros, Iron & Wine, Franz Ferdinand, and Architecture in Helsinki).

I will now order my original songs plus The Aquabats - Charge!! Hopefully Markos will give me more poly plus from ordering through his link.

I would love to see the New Pornographers, but only if they had Neko Case in tow. Though I've heard the replacement (I forget her name at the moment) sounds great, it wouldn't be the same.

FF's new one is coming out Tuesday IIRC. I'll have to pick that up.

Pelican released The Fire in Our Throats Will Beckon the Thaw this year. Aside from having an awesome title, the album is heavy as **** and is entirely instrumental, thus sparing the listener from the incomprehensible growling that would normally go with such music.

There is no correlation between 'getting old' (which we're all doing regardless of what musical genres we're interested in) and liking jazz or classical music.

I suppose every generation of listeners before the advent of heavy metal were born already aged, were they ?

True to form Amazan has already sent me "Your order has been delayed" e-mails. They always seem to do this; you order from amazon, they say it will be there in a few days, a few days latter they say the order is delayed, you month or two after that they tell you the order has been cancelled due to them not having it in stock. This is not bizare off the wall music nor even the indie stuff I normally order. What gives?

Anyway I'm leaving for downtown to watch Sigur Ros in about 20 minutes. Should be fun.
