You can put two independent clauses together, but they need a semicolon or a conjunction.
"Agathon is a Mac enthusiast, Asher trolls him a lot." is wrong.
"Agathon is a Mac enthusiast; Asher trolls him a lot." is OK.
"Agathon is a Mac enthusiast, so Asher trolls him a lot." is also OK.
"Agathon is a Mac enthusiast, Asher trolls him a lot." is wrong.
"Agathon is a Mac enthusiast; Asher trolls him a lot." is OK.
"Agathon is a Mac enthusiast, so Asher trolls him a lot." is also OK.
