      **insert obligatory joke**

What does WalMart and Michael Jackson have in common? They both have little boys pants half off!

Actually I think his celebrity status will buy him a walk but it would be interesting to see how he handles jail if he get's time. Although I doubt if he would see time with the "normal" criminals. Probably a Club Fed type situation.

Not guilty. From what I've seen in the news about the trial, and even the movies (documentaries), it's obvious that Jackson is an unusual person, but I couldn't see anything wrong at all. He loves children a lot - in the best sense of it. He doesn't have sexual desires towards them, though. Perhaps he did sometimes cross the line somewhat with what he allowed the kids to do, but he's not a molester, nor does he want to be one.

My sixth sense says that he is. See boann's post.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

I haven't paid close enough attention to this case to have an informed opinion, but hasn't the defense poked a number of holes in the prosecutions argument and discredited their witnesses?

I didn't really follow the trial but it seems to be a mess of arguments with no side proving their points. As in most cases where it's mostly about reliability of the contending side, I'd probably plead not guilty as it's a case of doubt. Jacko is whacko, but I don't feel there is a proof that he's a child molester in the way claimed in the case - but then, again, I didn't follow the case enough to have a real opinion.

I believe he is guilty, but I also believe he's a bit 'insane', but who wouldn't with a childhood as his

I haven't followed this case at all, so I don't know how the evidence points against him

But one thing for certain is that this is not MJs fault alone, a great part of the fault also lays by the parents to the boys. I mean what parents would let their kid sleep over (without supervision at least) by one who has previously been in the news because of this?

Not only do I think he's not guilty, I think he should be allowed to abuse whoever the hell he wants, by virtue of the fact that Billie Jean "kinda rocked".
