piece of wood (usually in studs within interior walls). It's width and height is 2 inches by 4 inches (though it may actually be less than this). The length can vary.

I think the min age should be (current age of Kuciwalker)+1.
Why can't you be a non-conformist just like everybody else?

2X4's are responsible for at least 2 out of 4 non worksite post factory timber related month. How long are we going to sit around and argue moot points until we come to the real conclusion thta we're all afraind of having to reach.
2X4's are a real threat, and pose a real threat to society as a whole. What we need to do is place a ban on wood that is so wide that it is easily grippable, and a ban on wood in legths that are both fallic and easily swung.
I disagree. Empathy often doesn't develop until later in childhood. In fact the legal systems in many countries consider a seven year old to still be an "infant".
Babies often demonstrate a primitive sort of empathy. Their emotional state reflects that of their environment, i.e., when one baby in the nursery cries, they all join in. This state generally resolves sometime around the age at which they begin to walk and say a few words, at which time they develop an ego-centric view of the world. Go ahead, see how difficult it is to convince two year old Johnny that he should lie down for awhile because Mommy needs a nap. If you're really good at parenting and the kid's receptive you might be able to teach him at pre-school age to demonstrate manners and even to mimic compassion, but the development of the ability to see things from another person's perspective on his own doesn't really develop until about age 10 to 12.
Honestly, this doesn't reflect my memories from my earlier childhood. and compassion isn't just about seeing things from another person's point of view, it's also about basically caring for how they feel. I think that kids have it at this age. This kid, otoh, didn't.
Kids at this age dont really care how others feel they are self centered at this age. They are able to show love and compassion to a point but not to the point where an adut would really understand. The display of affection for them is given for rewards from a parent or caregiver.
