to me, it shows an escalation of violence. it's not like he swung the 2 X 4 and then realized what a terrible thing he done, and didn't realize how much damage it would do.
I can see losing your temper, kids do it all the time. I could almost see a kid hitting his sister with his fists in a fit of rage.
But at least in my case, when I'm blinded by rage, I don't think to grab other weapons. In the kids case, he had a moment to stop and find another weapon to use. Most people would stop at that point, not find other weapons.Comment
