  • But did a Goth ever bite you on the ass like a pit bull terrier? I know a guy that happened to.

    • I've only had 2 gay guys come on to me.

One of them was a really tall fat dude. The other was a really short Filipino dude.

      • Do you class yourself as rough trade?

That Sigma society seems easy to get into (the base one anyway). All you need to be is a philosophy student doing a doctorate.

Although I'm well past their GRE requirement.

          7. Played pillow fight in the dark, than claimed I stuck a thumb up her arse

            • WTF?

              What sigma society?

I'm talking about standard deviations, son.

According to any serious IQ test the population is redistributed from raw score to provide a Gaussian (normal) distribuition. Generally the mean is placed at 100 with a standard deviation of either 15 or 16 points (depending on the test)

              Silly philosopher.

              • I'm assuming that this sigma society is some sort of high-IQ circle jerk. In other words, the exact sort of thing I'd never join.

                  • I googled sigma IV or whatever it was you said, because I'd never heard of it. This was the first hit.

You can join the society if you are a "Doctor or doctoral student of Philosophy, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mechatronics or Astrophysics."

I know complete doofuses who are nowhere near the top 2% of the population who qualify in most of those categories.

                    WTF is Mechatronics?

                    • Top two percent is barely 2 sigma

3 sigma is about top 0.1%

4 sigma is about top 0.03%

5 sigma is about top 0.0001% (one is a million)

Again, I have very little faith in the value of testing, especially at anything above 2.5 sigma or so (the generally accepted "genius" level)

It's an idiotic measurement. People whose highest achivement is their IQ score are generally fairly pathetic.

That's what the site I linked to said. But it doesn't give any measures other than their own tests for being counted above number II.

                          Sigma is standard deviation.
