I came across this story today, while browsing the World of Warcraft forums. It's long - nearly 12 pages - but well worth the time spent reading it.

Basically it's a true story about a guy who deposits a junk mail check for 95,000 dollars, and actually gets the money. Really good reading.

A good story, and a good read.

        Excellent story

Too bad it happened during the OJ Simpson trial, though.

Reading it almost made me smack my eyes against the screen. The guy's a bit self-serving though.

The show? The DVD? The reviews? The paypal account for tips? The fancy design of the site with his picture plastered to the left? Seriously, there's irritating whiff of a 15-minutes of fame nobody who hasn't realised it's just 15 minutes of fame.

Well, he was flat broke, and now that he has returned the check, I think he probably needs the money again...

I read this story long ago, before he had it on the fancy site and everything. It was fun to see it again.

Actually, the writing wasn't all that great, but the story itself was suspenseful .

Yeah, I admit he's probably just trying to cash in as much as possible, but it's still irritating.

Well, I started reading this story, and I've been enjoying it. I stopped at one section, and checked Apolyton, because I had only read the first post.

The section I'm currently reading is titled "Fifteen Minutes".

                          So I disagree with you

I can't fault him, simply because of this statement:

I was swept up in my fifteen minutes. They were swept away by the fantasy.
