You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. 'Global Warming'? As defined in the media and general discussion? No.

warming of the earth through higher CO2 and changes of terrain?

naturally, sure, as well as some manmade

I just think that in the overall scheme of things, man's contributions are fairly minimal (As far as CO2 is the eath's atmosphere)

of far greater worry is what we are doing to the water supply and the toxic chemicals we are unleashing upon the environment

I actually think that there is 0% chance that global warming will end life on earth.. and a very very low percent chance that it would end human life (and if it did it would be a century long process.. until the last humans died out)

With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

Some CO2 dissolves in the water, and some also creates sediment from biological sources, true... most of it stays in the air, until it gets picked up by plants.

Since the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere is rising steadily, and CO2 is a greenhouse gas, I see no reason not to worry.

Agreed if it was one of the really big contributants of greenhouse effect, but it isn't - water wapor is a much larger component of the picture.

I agree certainly that CO2 are rising, but is humans the only to blame for this ? Maybe, maybe not.

Let's get this one back on-topic.

Me, I think God will get so disgusted at us he'll "accidentally" drop his spit cup all over the planet.

Nah, since god doesn't exist there aren't this easy easy way out of our misery - we have to rely on the more troublesome ways to get eradicated.

That's a lot of spit cups!

I don't think the world has enough rednecks to do the trick.

                          From most probable:

                          (1) Asteroid hitting Earth.

                          (2) Eco-bumbling...like climate change. (Sorry Jon Miller)

                          (3) Bio-war or bio-terrorism.

                          (4) Destroyed to make room for a hyperspace bypass.

The earth is almost impossible to destroy. Humans, on the other hand, are much easier. If nothing else, the sun going nova will do it.

Speaking of which I went to McDonald's gringoified Mexican place Chipotle Grill yesterday and I was very favorably impressed. It reminded of a place called Free Bird's in Isla Vista, California which has been there for 30 years and it basically serves the same basic Mexican food with the rice and beans added in. Still the ingredients are fresh, unlike McDonalds, and the prices are still McDonald's cheap. All in all it is not bad.
