Thankyou Agathon, at last someone who doesn't seem to be under the thumb of commercialism...

some of us are loyal to our brands because they are superior products in every way. How is that so wrong?

I noticed a lot of clothing brand name loyalities, I don't have any of that- except for the shoes I mentioned. I have those loyalties because of how long they last. I used to buy cheapos, and they only last like a year. I admit I do buy Red Wings because they are made in the USA. That isn't a real good reason to buy a product. But they do seem to last a long time. They are good boots.

Levis comes close. So long as they make the 550's they have my money.

Civ3 PtW ended that particular loyalty.

I guess that shows that I still am a cheap person. I buy products that last a long time. I have no problem wearing a pair of ratty Nikes around town. And they do last a long time.

maybe if I was concerned more with fashion, I could get a girlfriend?

I prefer not to, people already think I'm gay. Not that it's a bad thing, it's just I have a hard enough time attracting female attention as it is.

In any case, good fashion eludes me.

I have it on good authority that seeming gay is the way to attract female attention
