Boiling water is often good for insect genocide.
No that is a wasted effort. Just buy ant poison and be done with them for good. Those Argentine Fire Ants are a pain in the ass but a bit of poison solves the problem.

Is this an ant hole?
Next time put something in the picture so we can judge scale. A hammer, a shoe, a pocket knife, or even car keys work. Next that likely is an insect or rodent hole and not an ant hole. fire Ants are small except for the male "warrior" class which are about three times the size of the other ants. Typically their holes are small with large piles of dirt and garbage piled up around the opening.
That doesn't have either so it is likely one of those sand digger wasps or some other non-harmful insects which don't really bother people.

I'd call the Orkin man. Fire ants can be a serious problem and I think their nests are fairly deep. You'll need some heavy duty agent orange to take care of them.
Naw, Daizinon Crystals will take care of them. Just sprinkling a decent amount any where you see the ants then the worker ants will take it back the hive and feed it to everyone including the queen. With in a week there will be no more ants.
Most of the wasps you'll find in the south west don't bother anyone. They hunt beattles and other insects and it is just the yellow jackets which bother humans who get to close. The yellow jacket nests are built under the eves of houses or in storage sheds and generally they're very easy to spot.
Just take a garden hose with a pressure nozzle to the yellow jacket nest and once the nest is knocked down throw it away. The wasps will go else where.
Just stay away from it and don't flail your arms about if she flies nearby, you'll just agitate her. Or you could spray RAID into her nest when she's in it and be done with it.
The cake is NOT a lie. It's so delicious and moist.
The Weighted Companion Cube is cheating on you, that slut.
It might be an ant hole but I doubt it. Ants, especially fire ants, are militant bastards with guards and lines of workers filing in and out. Also they take the waste and dug up sand and deposit it at the mouth of their nest so you get large piles of stuff at the opening. I don't see that here.
Well I put some sugar on the ground for them. I'll go back in a few minutes to see if there's a line of ants yet. Im trying to find thier nest but the foragers are just zig zaggy all over the place like they're lost.
