  • So, I was going to rent "Star Wars" and show it to Sophie tonight...

But Blockbuster didn't have it and I can't be arsed to go anywhere else.

    Sucks for her.

What movies/music/etc. can't you wait to show your kids?

Nothing wrong with Barney. He sings songs about manners, the joy of reading, and other assundry lessons. Yeah they're cheezy and can be annoying as all hell, but compared to the Wiggles or Blues Clues, Barney actually has some redeeming value in his message.

Sophie adores the first half of Moulin Rouge! The second half is a bit too intense and adult for her... I'll hold off on that for a few years.

She's also a big Buffy fan (can even sing through large sections of the musical), though I'm laying the blame for that one completely on her mother.

We have friends who have 1 yo when we went with them to see the first LOTR... Each christmas after we went with them, and their daughter. She loved them, and was very well behaved.

              She loves them now

I don't know why, I would think it would be too violent, but my nephew loves shows that show dinosaurs tearing into each other, but then he's a little strange.

Because of younger siblings, I am now hooked on Spongebob Squarepants. I'm currently in denile in front of my peers.

My god, perverting innocent young minds with violence, strong language, adult content...

You're an even bigger fan than I am

Not a big fan myself, but the trailer for that movie (the one with the submarine) is the Best. Trailer. Ever.

Saw it in a cinema in anticipation a war movie, I sooo totally fell for that

You mean there are other geeks out there with the soundtrack for Once More with Feeling!

Forget the soundtrack, I have the whole episode in high-def format on my PC (haven't found the season 6, 7 DVDs yet over here). I absolutely despise musicals, but I must have seen OMWF at least 20 times by now and know all the lyrics and dialogue by heart. I know, pathetic, but I'm just a sucker for anything Joss Whedon made -- Buffy most of all...
