Doh. It's a typo. EV/FCF, enterprise value/free cash flow. Sort of a reduction of a dcf valuation to a fraction. Enterprise value is Market cap plus net debt (market value of debt minus market value of cash and marketable securities).

It could have been Enterprise Price, but that doesn't sound right

I can't believe that people leave here and don't even come back sometimes. Unless the're like Roland and lost a bunch of economic forecasting bets, so they can't show their face.

                          Saras
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

                              "I agree" would suffice.

                                Saras...

Is that a common ratio? It's not something that one sees here much in the states, even in the Wall Street Journal. What's the purpose of such a valuation?

I'm also assuming that "net debt" is typically (not always, though) a negative number.

                                Thanks!
