Help Software Company Stop the "Thought Thieves"!!
If the tech companies 25 years ago hadn't stolen ideas from each other, we'd still be living in the 80s. Like it or not, accessible Microsoft OSes running on cheap IBM clones are what got us where we are today. What might have happened otherwise is irrelevant, since it didn't.

The original point of this thread before the personal attacks and such began was that a company (who main product has dubious beginnings) is running a competition about the immorality of intellectual property theft.
There's no game in The Sims. It's not a game. It's like watching a tank of goldfishes and feed them occasionally. - Urban Ranger

"Capitalism ho!"
You know, I've cast my mind back over the six years I've been posting here, and I genuinely can't think of a more tedious thread than this one. Check these points out-
1- It's about Microsoft, which makes it about as interesting as watching fog form.
2- It's just the 400th episode of the limpest, lamest, and longest-running squabble in this site's history. Get a room, you freaks.
3- It's got screenprints of old operating systems.
4- The opening post only exists to take a swipe at another poster.
5- Rather than the resident moderator showing any mild displeasure at said opening post, said mod just joins in.
6- Said moderator is, frankly, being a bit weird. Or (possibly) thick. Or (possibly) both.
7- These points should have aroused sympathy for the banned, but he just pissed that up the wall by taking it to CG.
That's an impressive litany, by any standards. It just needs Fezzing to become genuinely unbearable.

If it were something like 1989, sure. 1999 was after Windows 98, thus, a highly dubious image.
As if no one could be running Win 1.0 today, or that someone couldn't have forwarded their clock.
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

Well, said moderator has never been a shining example of even-handedness in his duties, alas.

Jesus... as if repackaging Windows XP and advertising it again wasn't pathetic enough: Microsoft now wants to help educate kids about people who steal the ideas of others.
I'd make a film all about the evils of thought theft entirely made up of clips from other films, with additional voiceover from stolen mp3s.
