Dream on Aggy... As DanS points out, he's still doing fine... He's taken a big post election hit, but his numbers still beat the hell out of a lot of other political programs...

You have me all wrong you know. I like O'Reilly and Fox – they discredit the American right in the view of everyone except the American right. If they carry on as they have been doing, it will end spectacularly and badly. The amount of hot air needed to keep that particular zeppelin of lies afloat increases exponentially every year.
    Only feebs vote.

Isn't O'Reilly some nonsense American show that promotes
brainwashing political vomit for commies to whinge at, and
for so-called 'conservatives' to gurgle madly about?

Mass media is a load of crap - Ignore it!

My kingdom to get Jeremy Paxman onto American TV and let him rip into presenters and guests alike.
Exult in your existence, because that very process has blundered unwittingly on its own negation. Only a small, local negation, to be sure: only one species, and only a minority of that species; but there lies hope. [...] Stand tall, Bipedal Ape. The shark may outswim you, the cheetah outrun you, the swift outfly you, the capuchin outclimb you, the elephant outpower you, the redwood outlast you. But you have the biggest gifts of all: the gift of understanding the ruthlessly cruel process that gave us all existence [and the] gift of revulsion against its implications.
        -Richard Dawkins

          I'll second that motion.

Paxo would slaughter most of the goons on these US shows.

True, though I'm not sure O'Reilly is smart enough to see the advantage.

Turn to the dark side. Watch C-SPAN 1 and 2! Embrace the all-encompassing hidden wisdom of congress. Feel the sophoric powers of the senators and congressmen including their leader in that regard Sen. Byrd.

If you mean FOX will end, doubtful...

If you mean the Repugs falling out of power, it will end eventually with or without FOX... because that's the nature of politics.

If the repugs keep gerrymandering states like they did in Texas then we just might end up with a PRI like 90 year stretch of one party dominating everything. That wouldn't be very democratic but people like Tom Delay aren't concerned about those things.

But when the Democrats gerrymander Texas or any other state, that's OK right?

To ascribe O'Reilly's number drop over the past months to an election drop is simply inaccurate. All political shows had a sharp drop, followed by a leveling out. O'Reilly has had a steady decline for months with no such leveling, losing ~100,000 viewers per month.

In July of 2003 O'Reilly had 3.1 million viewers per show, so you can't say it's "back to normal" for him. Ever since the little revelation of his phone sex escapades, his credibility has been in the toilet. He's slipping fast into irrelevancy, hence why he has to do childish baiting of actors to come on his show, since he can't get anyone else interesting.

Dems follow redistricting rules, if for their own political gain. The GOP breaks the rules. So who really "cheats?"
