How did they survive evolution??? Surely this evidence of inteligent design!!!
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

I don't think evolution applies to domesticated animals.

lots of animals do it. It does sound counterintuitive, but I've seen similar techniques work in birds ( they did hold still afterwards, though - but such a collapse might be enough to escape the claws of an eagle, or a condor , if you're a little lamb.

Vultures do it too, absolutely brilliant how they mislead lions with it.

They do it when attacked in mid flight, but then they gain lots of airspeed, and come out of the fall.

I have seen these goats in Calistoga/St Helena in California.

They faint when loud aircraft pass over head, or if cars backfire, or when Provost passes wind after a vindaloo/lager Saturday. But the latter would apply to most life forms on earth....

Very annoying - but usually you can look at the html source, download the video seperately, and use another viewer. The URI for the video is http://acurrentaffair.com/funny/faiting_goats_small.wmv .

Because the mutation only occured once they were domesticated animals. Then the falling over becomes very useful for the farmer, 'cos it makes them easy to catch, so he makes sure to keep a population of fainting goats alive and breeding.
