  • Is the movie kung fu hustle a communist(china) propogana piece?

Watching it now..... is this a propoganda piece? I am enjoying the movie and rooting for the good guys but.....

This is a chinese movie, right?

The "bad" guys dress like rich westeners and wear top hats.... while the good guys are the poor, REALLY poor, hard working peasents(who have super powers and kick ass.)

Is it me or is this movie a communist propoganda piece, Is this a chinese movie?

Whenever I see a chinese movie I enjoy looking for the features that allow it to make it past the censors.

I'm fairly certain that it is not a chinese movie.

Yes it does, while the people of China are poor victims the goverment are such opresive, despotic bastards and LIKLEY to be responsible for the apocalypse in around 50 years.....

I don't like rooting for the Chinese.

And this means that any film about poor Chinese people whacking the man can't be enjoyed by you?

Hell, I root for Bruce Willis in his movies and I hate America. You gotta get over it.

Looks like you get very thoroughly brainwashed. Check out the Doomsday Clock to see which country should be responsible for an "apocalype," if any.

As for your original question, the answer is no. It is not a Chinese film either. IIRC Columbia is behind it.

Have you NEVER seen an old Jackie Chan or Jet Li movie? In 1/2 of them the bad guys are imperialist English types just like what you describe. Heck, even in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3: Turtles in Time the bad guy is a white aristocrat trying to exploit the natives.

OH NOES!!! TMNT3 is teh Chinese Propoganda!!!

Um... Kung Fu Hustle is a parody of martial arts movies... they probably played the good guy peasants vs the bad guy westerners as part of that.

The Chinese aren't necessarily guilty of discrimination, they just don't like any foreigners.

I'm still pissed at that steven seagal movie where they portray oil company executives as bad guys when we all know that isn't true.
