It just doesn't strike you all as cruel that conservatives are trying to foce a 13 year old to go through with an unwanted pregnancy. She's in foster care and the most common reason for xhildren to be in foster care is abuse or neglect and I'd guess (no proof) that sexual abuse is pretty high up on the list when it comes to young girls. It's just plain cruel.

I think we should change the law as suggested above. No abortions but, in calculating the number of extra babies we would get, issue hunting permits, one to a customer @ $10,000 each. Each permit holder would be allowed to kill at random any American child under the age of two, on July 4th only. Talk about fireworks. All proceeds go to paying of the national debt.

I think it would work fine.

Would someone care to explain to me how exactly the law splits the hair of saying children under the age of 18 are incompetent to join the army, smoke, drink, drive (and have sex) in some cases yet says that it is just fine for them to consent to have invasive surgery without parental notification?
