Is the ACLU good for America?

Despite its being overrun by left-over hippies, feminazis, tree huggers, and various other leftie types, the ACLU is good for America:

They're a perfect counterpoint to the right-wing nutjobs

Without the concentrating effect of the ACLU organization, they'd be more spread out and harder to identify.

No they are not good as they are emphasizing an attack on religion and judicial legislation thru the "right of privacy." When they focused on the First Amendment, I was OK with them. Those days are long gone.

You have the right to say whay you want, but that doesn't mean you are allowed to act on those wants (eg. Pedophiles, Nazis, etc).

Odin, OK. In your opinion, then, it is OK for pedophiles to solicit minors for sex, but not to do it.
