The last few weeks have been very nice here, highs in the 60s and 70's (which is really nice because in some years we still have snow on the ground on May 1!) and as a result many of the trees and shubs came out of dormancy a week or two ahead of schedule, but this weekend the weather took a turn for the worst (the same crap thats hitting Dan right now) and the high is supposed to be 49F today.

In the Phils the weather was uncommon cold while we were there. Also the ocean was cold, something the natives had never seen before.

Oregon had a cold winter with very little rain, very wierd!

Cali got more rain than it could handle.

Strange...but this first link explains it...

This is a tad off topic but an ice age is ending on Mars....

Mars is emerging from an ice age, a finding that could shed light on the past and future climates of both Mars and Earth, researchers say.

"for now on I will go outside to fart"

I've been saying that posting on the Poly OT accomplishes nothing.

            I've been wrong...

How's the weather in your neck of the woods?

It's 58 degrees outside, even though it's nearly May. It rained and was cold the whole weekend. Normally, it would be 80 - 85 degrees and sunny in Washington at this point in the Spring. This whole year has been way too... wet.

I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

Very nice in Fresno. We deserve a not-so-hot summer. I certainly hope we get one.
I drank beer. I like beer. I still like beer. ... Do you like beer Senator?

Cold when outside (too windy to be warm), but on my balcony it's mostly warm

April is the month you can't trust the weather... one day it was nice beach weather, while the next day there where much snow
This is quite some time ago, so I don't remember it, but my parents told me about it a few days ago
This space is empty... or is it?

It's been in the high 70s-low 80s here, so definately chilly.

BTW, one of the effects of GW can be more unpredictable weather, not simply a general warming trend.

I was doing a to Coldwizard. If he wants this kind of weather, why doesn't he move north!

I'm afraid you're just going to have to deal. I never asked you to convert to Farenheit for your neck of the woods, did I?
