we'll get it back on topic.
speaking of building a computer. Does anyone know if power switches for computers are pretty standard? Or do they have different voltages and stuff?
Mine isn't a built computer, but a refurbished computer I got real cheap. Of course now the power switch is wearing out. sometimes it won't turn on. I went about 2 weeks without turning it off for fear it wouldn't turn back on, but that's a waste of energy. I've been turning if off the past few days, and it hasn't been giving me any problems (knocks on wood).
Getting that power switch out of there looks to be a *****. I might have to remove my hard drive to get any kind of tool in there. And then I could damage my motherboard if I'm not careful.

As expected... this is going downhill REALLY QUICK...
If it continues, this thread won't be long for this world
It's your own fault, Ming. It happened because you changed the name of the thread. Had it remained, noone would think of developing the subject more, since it would be considered too obvious, and lame.

I don't have the time/energy to build my own PC. But I want to get a new machine that's A) great for games, B) very reliable and C) won't cost me a bazillion dollars. I have a Dell that's about 3 years old now. I'm generally happy with it, but I've heard murmurings that their quality has gone down a lot in recent times.Tutto nel mondo è burla
