If you have a one syllable last name, go for a two-syllable first name. Will make him sound cool.
Ex: Christian Troy, Jacob Kell, Franklin Reid, Thomas Smith.
If you have a longer syllabic last name, go for a short syllable first name.
Ex: John Richardson, Keith McMichaels, Brian Hamilton.
This is all I got for now...would also go to some baby-name sights to find out what the name means.
Frank means "A Free Man" for instance.

And name your next girl Hermione.
Nice name but I'd have trouble pronouncing it. I already had Doreen Jill picked out for a girl. My wife would cut off a certain body part if even a hint of a number eight came up.

I think you have one too many "m" in that word.

f' off! John is a great name.
I like John also (note avatar ). One of my choices was John Paul. The reference to the Pope is obvious but I was also thinking of two of the Beatles. My wife nixed it though because it is the name of the brother-in-law of a former lover (yes, she is that picky and has a long memory).

Rap names make good nick names but I also don't want to pick something that will get him beat up in school. Besides, most rap names weren't given at birth (who'd name their kid Snoop Dogg).

Vardaman- I've always liked that name ever since I read 'As I Lay Dying'.
Failing that: Dombey, Ulysses, Shiva the Destroyer (appropriate for the toxic nappy producer), Les Miserable (for when he's teething) White Fang (his first tooth comes through), Jacques Le Fataliste, Gargantua or Pantagruel, Cuchulainn, Tristan, Walther von der Vogelweide, or how about Joe ?
Vive la liberte. Noor Inayat Khan, Dachau.
