    Best horror movie of all-time?

No question; no ifs, ands, or buts; not a doubt in my mind:

Alien. The ultimate haunted house movie--there truly is no escape.

The best Hollywood horror movie of recent years? Again, no doubt about it: The Ring. Couldn't sleep right for weeks. I haven't seen the sequel because a) it looks dumb, and b) on the off chance it isn't dumb, I don't want to be that creeped out again.

"And as americans couldn´t see quality if it bit them in the ass we get dumbed down versions of classic japanese or european movies. Movies that will suit the american pallet, bland, tasteless and utterly stupid. I mean could you imagine a Hollywood version of Tarkovskijs "Stalker"? No... The crappy remake of "Solaris" says it all. Art is something no one in Hollywood can spell or even comprehend. The only thing that goes is money and putting out crap to entertain a bunch of yahoos that can´t be arsed to read a subtitle or even follow a plot that a moderately intelligent monkey could follow with ease."

I pop my pimples at you and call you the son of a silly thing.

Now, go away or I shall taunt you some more.

Are you on drugs or something? The japanese original was so much better...

        No. No way.

              Spoiler:
The end really gets me... she's proud and relieved by what she has done, tells her son that it's over, she put the girl to rest, and the son freaks out--don't you get it, Mom? She's evil! That's why her mom did what she did in the first place! And now you let her out!

And then, that scene with the television... holy christ, that is scary as hell.

              EDIT:

I didn't crap my pants, I'm pretty sure. It was just a wet fart.

Now I'm going to plug in 'Dragonfly', a Kevin Costner film.

Guy, you're right, but people are going to get on you for the spoiler unless you edit.

I usually don't go to horror films. They scare me but here goes:

"Psycho." Scared the $#@%^!! out of me.

I'm with rah & co. "Body Snatchers" [when I was a kid] was horrifying.

I'm still in awe of the last 30 minutes of "The Terminator"

                  Any film by Michael Moore.
