Wouldn't you recover faster if you drank more fluids and got more rest? Or is this a case of going about regular activities (abeit at a reduced rate) is better then just laying about?

I don't think any comment in here is worth telling one another to * off, so what's the problem

Dave, I haven't been since January - when I took up a part time semester while working full time. That coupled with cold after debilitating cold during the winter has me wanting to shift full focus to gaining weight and staying fanatically fit during the spring & summer

          I have started exercising again

however, also my blood pressure has went up, recently when I have measured it, it has been ~140/~90 (numbers are only accurate to within 5)

          should I stop exercising?

I think that exercising raises it, but also being out of shape I think raises it as well, and I have allowed myself to get really out of shape

sorry to ask a question in your thread

back when I first I realised I had a problem with bloodpressure, I felt bad and was trying to decide between going to the campus doctor to check my blood pressure (I knew it had been high 2 days before (And been normal 3 days before that)) and working out

considering that I was close to stroke, working out would have been deadly...

since I went on medication my blood pressure had went back to normal (120/80) but recently it has appeared to rise...

Sounds like it could be some sort of hereditary hypertension problem...all I can say is, see ya doc because we can't diagnose stuff like that here...

I am on medication.. Beta Blockers..

I think that if I am behaving (no caffiene, regular sleep, regular doses, etc) that I should have normal blood pressure..

My problem was you were interfering in a conversation I was trying to have with Zylka.

I really don't think it was appropriate for you to play moderator or dictate the course of conversation, so I threw it back at you. I figure you deserve it every now and then, because it irks me every thread you do it in.

What irks me even more is that you're not a doctor, yet you're giving advice like one, which is rather dangerous.

Do more cardo and watch your intake of salt & alcohol. Both can raise your blood pressure. Drink more water and when you run try to do it for at leat 30 minutes.

PH, how dare you give Zylka good advice that he thanked you for, you interfering, un-doctorlike, conversation manipulating moderator wannabe!

Now you've made me throw my toys out of my pram and get banned!

                            You git!
Is it me, or is MOBIUS a horrible person?

Be sure to take lots of Zinc. That will reduce cold duration. I had a cold last week and made sure to take zinc every day. Only lasted 3 days.

OH c'mon, everybody knows that a basic cold means nothing. I keep on doing whatever I was doing before and I don't die or anything. You simply won't feel as good as you woudld notramlylly, but then again you're ill so that's not a big surprise!ç!

I don't understand why anyone would care a botu a simple cold. Everyone has them, and usually more than tonce a year! Working aout won't affect anything, but you'll feel slightly weaker of coutse!

Then agai I'm just a noob without doctor'"s license so
