she has explicitly rejected the notion that "men" and "women" exist in nature.
Do you mind explaining then, St Leo?
Well, the traditional position would be that plumbing is determined by nature/birth, but behaviour, attitude, and personality are learned. Plumbing would be sex, and behaviour would be gender.
"men" and "women" refers to artificial gender roles as much as it does to anything else. Imitation and reinforcement can accomplish strange things.
The attacks on Dworkin were not only personal; they also applied to her work. John Berger once called Dworkin "the most misrepresented writer in the western world". She has always been seen as the woman who said that all men are rapists, and that all sex is rape. In fact, she said neither of these things. Here's what she told me in 1997: "If you believe that what people call normal sex is an act of dominance, where a man desires a woman so much that he will use force against her to express his desire, if you believe that's romantic, that's the truth about sexual desire, then if someone denounces force in sex it sounds like they're denouncing sex. If conquest is your mode of understanding sexuality, and the man is supposed to be a predator, and then feminists come along and say, no, sorry, that's using force, that's rape - a lot of male writers have drawn the conclusion that I'm saying all sex is rape." In other words, it's not that all sex involves force, but that all sex which does involve force is rape.
Is her "clarification" actually supposed to mean something?

Wasn't Imran supposed to be using the word 'womyn' at some phase, whatever happened with that

Good riddence.
People like her gave Feminism a bad name. Btw, she's also one of those lovely people who says EVERY sexual act is rape. And the reason that women don't think so is because they've been socially conditioned by men to think that, oh, having sex on your 10th Wedding Anniversary is not rape.
Absolutely. Was she also the feminazi who said all men are potential rapists?
I've been in some very upseting situations where I thought I was a close [platonic] friend, and a friend gets suspicious about me because of the paranioa some wacko instilled in her.
I have to tell you, this insistence that genetics can determine all physical properties of mankind but then has no effect on mental, emotional, and behavioural development is truly bizarre (especially in those subjects which are politically hot - it's as if the genes knew that they weren't supposed to have any effect on personality, IQ, etc. and then didn't.)
Btw, feminine doesnt infer weak, and masculine doesn't infer strong.
My (yes, my personal property ) perfect woman would be feminine, and strong, and self reliant, and whatever other good "masculine" qualities are there. She'd also be compassionate, and good with kids, and attentive. THESE THINGS ARE NOT MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE.
