        Rock is way bigger than 6'3" 240; I think he's 6'5" 300+ or something.

6'2"-6' 3," 225-245 is big, but it's not so huge that it'd be impractical to cast. I bet there are plenty of actors that big, just not overly famous. Regardless, they'd be hard pressed to do worse than Hayden.

Actually, I think Friday the 13th is more popular than LoTR.

No way. The movies alone grossed billions, and there must be billions more in book sales, and billions more in marketing/liscensing/toys/video games, etc.. Friday 13th comes nowhere close.

Money does not equal popularity.... I think you would find that Friday the 13th is more widely reconized than LoTR.

money does equal popularity. Because the more money it made, means the more people that have seen it. Unless it can be proven there are a lot of repeat viewings.

You are deluded if you believe that.. or even if you seriously entertain such a notion.

Too young to have seen the Holiday Special, but my parents do have a Christmas Carol book including "What can you get a Wookiee for Christmas (when he already owns a comb)" and R2D2 We Wish You a Merry Christmas".

LotR is older, spread around in a wider variety of products, and otherwise obviously more worthwhile than Friday the 13th. And best of all it has constructed languages! Not to mention maps. And it's influenced other major entertainment franchises deeply. And it's based in things that are more timeless.

Friday the 13th has been entrenched in pop culture for decades.
