Why Segway when I can, as the article points out, walk to where I need to go?
Exult in your existence, because that very process has blundered unwittingly on its own negation. Only a small, local negation, to be sure: only one species, and only a minority of that species; but there lies hope. [...] Stand tall, Bipedal Ape. The shark may outswim you, the cheetah outrun you, the swift outfly you, the capuchin outclimb you, the elephant outpower you, the redwood outlast you. But you have the biggest gifts of all: the gift of understanding the ruthlessly cruel process that gave us all existence [and the] gift of revulsion against its implications.

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

          well they look kinda cool?
But its the same for me(well i go by bike). Say your a bit lazy or a bit unfit, could be a good thing then?

And to answer yours, mine and alva's suggestion

I think they were being aimed very much at the urban city centres, even a bike can be a burden sometimes - these are quite easy to store and take with you compared to a bike. My main worry would be it getting stolen, £2,800 is quite a bit to loose out to thieves

If you're a bit unfit, getting off the segway and actually walking the two blocks to the kebab shop is probably the best thing you can do.

Easy to take with you? If you're on one maybe. The lightest one is 70 lbs. You can get a bike for less than half that weight, and if you really need something compact you can get a folding bike. Heck, even a scooter is more practical and marginally cooler than a segway.

The only use a segway has ever provided or will ever provide is seeing Bush fall off one.

Do we have any pictures of that? As you half spoke in the past tense......i must have missed that golden momment of Segway history

Ok i may have been wrong on this.

I can't really see me giving up my bike for this on reflection.

Still i think it may have been C5 fever that mommentarily had me in its grip
