Gen. Douglas MacArthur, commanded Allied forces in the South Pacific in WW2, headed occupation of Japan, and commanded UN forces in Korea till fired by Truman. Had NO role Im aware of in decision to drop the bomb on Japan - did advocated bombing China during Korean war, and was fired by Truman for that. Died decades ago.Originally posted by child of Thor
