But no one in the MSM puts it all together. Sure, we socialists do, but you never listen to us, even when facts prove us correct (as they always do).

As for TASERs, the fact that they hurt isn't why police use them. They are exceedingly effective at putting someone under control, and the police use them frequenly in situations where it isn't necessary immediately or where a suspect might have been talked down. A number of people have died as a result of TASERing, but if I had a choice between being TASERed, clubbed, or shot, I'll go for TASERing. Of course, I'm not gonna fcuk with the police, so hopefully they won't TASER me before they ask me to comply.

Because this thead isn't about China's HR record. Only UR tries to defend China, and given that he's in China, which has a nightmarish HR record, it's unconscionable of you to try and get him to put his life at risk agreeing with you.

For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

As an American, he has a bit more leeway than a Chinese citizen.

On Jul. 21, 2004 Chinese citizen Zhao Yan was handcuffed and severely beaten while she was in the United States on a normal business trip. She suffered injuries in many parts of her body and serious mental harm.

I can't find a reference to this. OTOH, I can find references to China's imprisonment of a male Zhao Yan. He is being held for prematurely reporting the retirement of Jiang Zemin.

Sexual harassment and encroachment are common in jails in the Unite States. The New York Times reported last October that at least 13 percent of inmates in the country are sexually assaulted in prison (Ex-Inmate's Suit Offers View Into Sexual Slavery in Prisons, The New York Times, Oct. 12, 2004). In jails of seven central and western US states, 21 percent of the inmates suffer sexual abuse at least once after being put in prison. The ratio is higher among women inmates, with nearly one fourth of them sexually assaulted by jail guards.

                Ugh. Seriously, Americans, ugh.

If Airplane came out today, the pilot would have asked the little boy if he had ever been in an American prison.

Has the US distracted or prevented the 'free media' from bringing these issues to light (ad nauseum in many cases)?
