    They're trying, but so far they have failed, but for each year more people 'convert' so soon everybody will be celebrating it

      In Sweden there was no popular demand for it. It was shoved down our throats by the tabloids and merchants. There weren´t no kids out trick-or-treating 5 years ago...

        Aren't Easter and Christmas a bit manipulative of children? It seems to be kind of a brainwashing. I guess if you get the children to enjoy these days, they'll take on new added meaning.

          When I was a child, I loved the gifts and time spent with the family on Christmas and Easter (Easter were only small gifts, but it was fun too). I don't feel I have been manipulated by them.
