  • "With their hopes of a miracle fading and other options exhausted, Terri Schiavo's parents and siblings reached a quiet resignation Sunday and asked protesters to go home as the severely brain-damaged woman spent a ninth day without food and water.

Those outside the hospice where Terri Schiavo is being cared for were not as calm, with the first of what would be four morning arrests coming as ministers attempted to bring Schiavo Easter communion. About a half-dozen people in wheelchairs later got out of them and lay in the driveway, shouting "We're not dead yet!"

        • I wonder why Schiavo doesn't allow a priest to perform last rights.

The lawyer for the family said Terri Schiavo's body has no gone past the period of recoverablity. Terry ****ing Randall said no way, she can still recover. ****in' *******.
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

            • Yes, they gave last rites and communion both before they pulled out the tube last Friday.

You know, Che, the whole family was in on a conspiracy to win the malpractice case. It was necessary to portray the marriage as happy and raise no hint that this event was caused by foul play. There is at least one witness I heard from directly on TV whose perjury was suborned for the malpractice case. When this is over, I would hope the authorities actually conduct the criminal investigation they should have conducted years ago.

It certainly works both ways and when I see politicians doing that crap, I will call them on it.

I know the motives of the RR and the Bush brothers as well the back of my hand. They are all about power, just as are those from the opposite side of the same corrupt coin (Kennedy, Peglosi, Boxer, Kerry, the Clintons).

I am just being a watchdog. I am providing a warning. The RR is far more dangerous than you believe.
I can tell you that my own feelings on this case are strong. I am depressed, angry and often moved to tears. I can no longer tune in the news, as the fate of Terri is almost unbearable to me.

To me, at least, politics has no bearing on this case.

I could also believe that the RR is very angry with the two Bush's for not doing more.

I actually had to force myself to eat at least once a day. I lost 10% of my body weight in a month, and I was only 160lbs to begin with.
No water? I find that hard to believe.

I listened to the court appointed doctor who broke the 2-2 tie on experts. Seated next to her was one of he Nurses who cared for Terri for a long time. The doctor reported that he spent about an hour with Terri and could get no response from her. The Nurse described Terri as able to comminicate at a minimal level, including greating visitors at the nurse's station by saying Hi.

The doctor's testimony condemned Terri. The nurse's testimony was never heard.

At one time, Terri could swallow. There are doctors who say she could be taught to eat.

Now, I agree that she is horribly brain damaged. But her family still cares for her and wants her to live. This is not a case where there is a consensus for death in the immediate family. This case might be a first of its type in history. I am not sure, but in all this time I have heard of no other like it.

Clearly the result in this case should be for the parents to take custody of Terri unless Terri herself left an unambiguous message to the contrary, as in the form of a notarized writing. All we have is the testimony of the Schiavos, who have an adverse financial and personal interest in the continued existence of Terri.

What we have here is a miscarriage of justice.

Plus we need to add in the most recent appeals court decision.

Imran, it looks like the majority of a minimum of 40 judges, there could be more, agree with you.
Did I say anything about whether the judges were liberal or not?

Besides, my argument with Imran concerned only the question of whether the statute passed by Congress was unconstitutional. Imran claimed it was and I was testing his analysis.

I have seen the questions those polled were asked. They misrepresented the facts. So, I would not be so sure the public is so pro-death as you believe.

But, back to Greer. He will go down in history and a pariah to the RR. I really don't expect it will be too long before there is a real attempt on his life. This case has stirred emotions deeply. It is not about politics for most people who have been fighting for Terri. It is about justice and cruelty.
