Dude, right wing Christians lie all the freakin time. They're evil people.
That's really what this is about for a lot of you, isn't it? You don't really care about the moral questions surrounding this issue. You just want to score a victory over the Religious Right and don't care if the price of that victory is killing a woman who didn't want to be killed in the first place. That's really sad and I have about as much respect for those of you who are acting in this way as I have for this douchebag...

Durable Powers of Attorney for Medical Care are the only way to go; and that is what Michael Schiavo has.

It was part of the planning for my mother. I knew exactly what she wanted and did not, but we were both cautioned that I needed to be vigilant or various people might just go about doing their jobs as they understood them.
It boils down to you need someone who you can trust to make sure your wishes are carried out, and they need to have the paperwork to back them up.(\__/)

POA is prefered simply because it is clear--what they say goes, cut and dry.

Okay, this is just getting really crazy now.
Hours after a judge ordered that Terri Schiavo was not to be removed from her hospice, a team of state agents were en route to seize her and have her feeding tube reinserted -- but they stopped short when local police told them they would enforce the judge's order, The Herald has learned.
Agents of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement told police in Pinellas Park, the small town where Schiavo lies at Hospice Woodside, on Thursday that they were on the way to take her to a hospital to resume her feeding.
For a brief period, local police, who have officers at the hospice to keep protesters out, prepared for what sources called "a showdown."
In the end, the squad from the FDLE and the Department of Children & Families backed down, apparently concerned about confronting local police outside the hospice.
"We told them that unless they had the judge with them when they came, they were not going to get in," said a source with the local police.
"The FDLE called to say they were en route to the scene," said an official with the city police who requested anonymity. "When the sheriff's department and our department told them they could not enforce their order, they backed off."

Dude, it hasn't been just one neurologist. Every neurologist who has examined her, apart from the quack the family hired, have reached the same conclusion.
As far as I know, 5 neurologists opinions were considered by the court. Two were "quacks" for the family, two were "quacks" for the husband and one was court-appointed. The two family neurologists said Terri wasn't in a PVS, the two for the husband said she was and the court-appointed neurologist agreed with the husband's side. Apparently the court appointed doctor only spent about a half-hour examining Terri, though. Not exactly conclusive, in my opinion at least.KH FOR OWNER!
