  • Question to Christians (esp) Catholics.

Now my intent here is not to insult, but bring some things to light:

What kind of a twisted religion has its followers eat the dead body of their god and drink his blood (bread and wine)...?

What kind of religion has as their official icon, their diety nailed to a wooden board, with thorns bleeding his head.

Enlighten me please.... cause you all seem a little sick to me in these regards.....

How is this stuff not the same as goat sacrifices in Devil Worship, I really want to know?

Transubstantiation is definitely a carryover of pagan rites (including Roman and Egyptian religious practices and Mithraism).

If you believe the Evangelicals, it's a satanic rite that signifies the continued evil of the Roman Catholic church.

Abstinence pledges are the true horror of the modern church.

I wish a Tornado of licentiousness would devastate the South. Maybe then they would get a life, and stop interfering in everyone else's.

I've asked god about it, he sends a few tornadoes in the South for that very reason, but he doesn't want to send too much cause he doesn't want to upset the rest of his creation Nature....

He was particularly dimayed by the re-election of President Bush, that's why there were so many hurricanes right before the election to try to wipe out republican held territory... last ditch effort by god to influence the election......

When you find yourself arguing with an idiot, you might want to rethink who the idiot really is.

Damn that really back fired. Bush's response gave him a few extra votes in Florida. Your God isn't too smart.

About the catholic rights no idea. I don't think many Protestant faiths practice that.

              1) it's not dead
              2) ask a priest if You want to know, not a common person - otherwise You don't want to get to know anything, You're making a cheap propaganda show
              3) what's wrong with that? It symbolises us being the spiritual body of Christ through his sacrifice.

What kind of religion has as their official icon, their diety nailed to a wooden board, with thorns bleeding his head.
The one whose deity actually was nailed to a wooden board, with thorns bleeding his head

              bah,
Christians are not killing an innocent being for the glory of anyone. The only Christian rite that has animal sacrifices, are Armenians (not all, though).
If there's a resemblance with black masses, it's because black masses are based on Christian cult, are a parody of it.

              yeah, right.

I'd talk to a priest but I think I'm excommunicated.

Any time someone wants to hit Christianity, He recalls crusades. Crusades are not part of Christian religion, moreover they stopped hungred years ago and the goal was not to kill people, but to "help Eastern Christians in need" (which they did poorly, to say the least) and to liberate Holy Land.

Oh, and You can talk to a priest even if You're excommunicated.

Thorn - (and I'm also an ex-Catholic - I assume you are by your ex-communicate comment), if you have issues with the Church, fine. But don't troll those who are trying to make the Church a genuine force of good, and a living breathing entity. Why troll them - unless one of them has been unpleasant to you, maybe you should can it. Unless you are trying to be as intolerant as those you claim to hold in contempt, which means you were sadly taught very well.

You opened up that can of worms, anyways the Popes God's supreme messenger on earth second only to Jesus, called for the crusades, so if that isn't Christian stuff, then what is?

Oh, and You can talk to a priest even if You're excommunicated.
Wouldn't I be going to hell then, so why would they want to help out a damned soul like mine, ain't I be the other side at that point?

---there are some other things that don't make sense to me at all like the stuff out of Leviticus.... why do Christians pick some things as truthful there and others as not, I didn't know that Supreme Truth was pick or choose... a freaking choose your own adventure book!

In many ways most people of the Middle Ages were more Pagan than Christian. They couldn't even understand the mass.

The dogma of pope's infallibility was not around back then, moreover it's only about matters of faith. Politics are not a matter of faith.

Also, stop demonising crusades. They were in general a defensive movement.

There are still possibilities of saving You. And according to some, even Satan will be saved oneday - according to Origenes, for example. And they should try to save You for they ought to love You, as Jesus told us to do. He told us to be like sun, giving its warmth to everyone,
                          good and bad alike.

I'll reply with what one late antiquity bishop said about Origenes: it's like a lane. I'm picking the flowers, and avoiding the bushes
Part of Jesus' message was that all the Jewish rituals are human tradition, it's something else that God expects us to do.
