However, I wonder if the European Leftists who are so horrified over this censorship are as equally upset against censorship over Nazi symbols such as the swastika.
Censoring swastikas is weak. I can understand that in Germany it's still a delicate symbol. But for everyone else it would be absurd to censor a swastika. It's just a symbol found anywhere and everywhere in ancient cultures. I have just seen a few Roman tombstones and inscriptions in Newcastle with swastikas on it!

It's just a symbol, and if the people who give a certain meaning to that particular symbol are gone, then it's not offensive anymore. imo

It's intentionally offensive to 3 bilions of people

That's a good thing, not bad.

Also, nothing is bad when it's done at home. Place where You do things has no impact on their moral value.

He was drawing a picture, not throwing people in jail.

I think you are over-generalizing just a tad. Not all of Christians and Muslims would be offended by this. Just the ones who have no sense of humor and are overly sensitive.
Christians are used to being criticised in a rude manner, true. But it's not about ones that do not, it's about ones that do. Some wouldn't mind totalitarian regime, but it doesn't mean that we should establish it.

Humor is a good thing. This was done in jest. Somehow, I think Jesus would approve.
Good humor is a good thing. Mocking someone is not.
What's the cause of showing Jesus as an exhibitionist?
What's funny about making fun of someone's horrible death in pain?

plus, if your beliefs are true, aren't they strong enough to withstand a joke?
there's constructive and not constructive criticism.

Jesus was sexually liberal, he had sex with guys and girls, God told me this, I'm not about to argue with him, maybe you'd like to.

You wouldn't hear anything from me. (not that I endorse blahblahblah...)
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

same thing here. I see that kind of cartoons everyday from various authors. But, the fact that they diss on everything and everyone, abusing the clichés makes it funny. I don't know any good cartoonists really focusing on just one or 2 groups of people. Either cartoons are political, or they try to be provocative, and apparently this cartoon of Jesus succeeded in that
