Hey, LoA... I've been doing this commish role for like 5 years, on both baseball and football. So this isn't my first time doing it.

at FFZ, everyone respects the commie, so they put in extra work. thats all directly reflected in the commies leadership skills. he has them motivated and makes them feel a part of it. its as simple as that.

Um no. The Commish makes it clear that he needs help from others and they do it because they are committed to the league. They don't think they have to sit back and let the Commish do everything. The reason everyone puts in extra work because they are more committed to the league and have been a part of it for many years and have a close knit community. They realize their roles.

The other problem is this idea that the Commish has to be a 'leader'. No, I just set up the league and put the results in. After that, I'm a regular owner, like everyone else.

Imran is right, there is more of a burden on commish's here primarily because the people at FFZ are more serious or fanatical about sports and make more of an effort. Poly is more leisurely and that places more pressure on us commishes. They've been running 4 and 2 hour BAPAYs over there, can you imagine how many BAPAYs we'd have here under those restrictions?
