Dan's BS is ample proof that all neo-liberals are ideology-led, brainwashed idiots.

I'm all for giving OPEC the finger, but this war was the wrong way to do it. My main fear is if Saudi Arabia has an Iran-style revolution and cuts off the oil to western counties to cripple the "Great Satan"

For the alleged supporters of this war, and those who claim to be neo-cons(although from what the few of you say, your version of neo-con is very different from what the supposed founders of the movement claim and say about it); is it acceptable to you that american soldiers are dying for the sake of the profit margins on barrels of oil? Not to mention innocent civilians in iraq?

      Is this acceptable cost?

You know Bush had that announcement about putting money into new energy sources(was it in a state of the union address?) - is this really going to happen?

I think it would be a hard shift for the big US oil companies to take, but it might work out better in the long run?

The US would not then have to undertake such risky moves like Iraq to try to get its energy problem sorted out.

I'm just worried that the promise Bush made to invest in these technologies might just be more neo-con lies(they do love to do it so much).

Still if the US is really serious about sorting out its energy problems, then i would hope it will go this route; after all it will also help create plenty of home based jobs too.

No more of this silly childs game of Imperialism, its so last century

I think he just said it because it sounds good.

            A bunch of hot air.

that would be a shame - as it might be america's most realistic way out of the energy/oil/opec problem.

and heres an interesting link, related to the extent its about Iraq and the legality of Britain going to war. Lots of stuff is starting to unravel in this whole sorry business

apparantly politicians may have 'leaned' too hard to get the result they wanted in terms of the legal case for going to war.

Not sure what, or even if, the US has a simular situation going on?
