Okay, I never took Spanish in college or in high school, so I always figured that "hombre" meant something like "bro" or "sweet sauce jones" or whatever. So imagine my surprise when I see that "Jesus: Hombre de Nazaret" is playing on the Spanish channel. One wouldn't normally consider referring to Jesus Christ as "bro" or "sweet sauce jones" or whatever, at least, not on the Spanish channel.
So, enlighten me. What the hell does "hombre" translate to? (Dangling prepositions be damned.)
