Ken Lay and his friends will be living high on the hog for the rest of their lives off of their ill gotten gains.
You mean like this WorldCom CEO?
Is he actually in jail yet? I suspect the word appeal has been mentioned....

Nahhh... life with no parole... oh, and he gets Bubba as a cell mate
Why do I have to stay with him?
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

They have to sentance him. And you don't think that criminals get to stay out of jail while their appeals go on, do you?

Not in the US.. you sit behind bars while your appeals go on. Unless you can get a stay of judgment, which is highly unlikely.

That's not how our legal system works. You need to be sentenced first before you go to jail.
Yes, I understand that. Can't be otherwise....
My point is this: Let's not get too excited about this man getting what he deserves until he actually gets it.
Imran - I assume an appeal is only useful if you've been sentenced to a lengthy term since time would be served before an appeal is heard. Seems strange to me that 'lesser' charges have no reasonable appeal option.....

I couldn't say... I try to avoid cable news garbage.
But online it seems the Peterson story is taking over.
