  • "Don't think they draft a new contract every time a loan comes up."

I'm sure they do. Player loan negotiations are very complicated things, just as complicated as signing a player. Aside from basic things like the salary percentage paid by loan club, you've got any bonuses (goal, win, championship etc.), when/how/why a player can be recalled and possibly at what point in the loan, length of loan, optional extentions, possibly preferential buying options... etc. etc.

    • Newcastle will play Sporting. Viana will not play. Sporting asked if he couldd, but Fat Fred said no.

Yeah, but those are things that can be filed in. The general structure is the same, and I'm positive they have a form they pull out and then fill in the salary %, bonuses, recall procedure, etc.

      • Ok well one of the variables is whether the player can play against the parent club then...

I'm sure most clubs don't make that variable. They don't want to be responsible for their own potential loss in that way.

          • Imran gave the thumbs up to Fat Fred. That means he is no longer a Newcastle fan.

Who else wonders whether Abramovitch will be exposed as a major criminal and Chelsea will get screwed? I'd laugh if that happened.

              • Freddy brought in Souness and that's the best move coaching move anyone has made all season (Mourinho doesn't count as this season ).

                • Fat Fred is a worthless sack of **** who along with Hall was responsible for Keegan leaving.

Someone forgot to tell him that most of those fans are glory hunters and will no doubt switch once Chelsea keep winning.

                    • I think Martin Jol at Spurs will turn out better in the long run, if he doesn't get lured away in the summer. I don't rate Souness. He's done a decent job of organising that team I agree but he's too old school. And what's he ever won? A few titles with Rangers in Scotland (how hard!) he then totally shagged up Liverpool, got fired after one season at Galatasary because he didn't win the league - although he did raced out onto the Fenerbahce pitch and planted a Galatasary flag when they beat them in the Turkish cup. Didn't do anything at Torino and Benfica.

He kept Southampton up, got an already very strong Blackburn side promoted and into Europe but then totally lost it...

Which is why ITV put Chelsea on as their main game and relegated ManU to their second digital only channel is it Alex? HA HA HA HA HA!

Maybe all the attention in Asia, but I know which game everyone in Europe was watching.

                          • Absolutely.

And anyone watching Milan missed one of the best games of the season watching Chelsea Barca.

                              • But can we have a generic footie manager game thread too?

Hopefully we can turn this into the generic Newcastle vs. Everyone they have yet to play this season gloating thread.
