WTF is up with all the mass shootings over the past couple of weeks.

    Something is in the air.

Erm, nice try, but that's not how it goes. Usually it's the religious nuts jumping on us first, and us just defending ourselves. See Mr. Nice Guy's most recent thread as proof.

yes, but if the people at the church were carrying shotguns, this would have never happened.

contrary to popular belief, most americans do not own guns, and don't know how to use them. Most have never even seen a gun.

Um, we don't. We point out failings of religions.

I don't think there is such a thing as "atheist freak." It's just not something you go crazy with.

But it would be much less likely to have happened if guns were not freely and legally availiable. I guess I misunderstood the polite society comment, I didnt realise it meant you had to bring a gun to church

Knife attacks can still end in mass killings, but easier to stop surely? I remember one teacher getting cut up when she stopped this guy. Still she survived it though....dont remember the name of the school for the life of me though....?

I was about to post something on this but I do not think it is right that you would try to use it for personal benefit, as you have done diss.

                    personal benefit?

                    I think not.

Some of the best and most moral people I have ever known are relgious.

religious people are on the average, more moral than everyone else.

Note: that doesn't include myself as I'm not relgious, I've done some bad things in my life.

unfortunately, religious people seem to be nuttier than everyone else. I can't explain why this is.

Religious people are NOT more moral, as far as I can tell. They are judgemental and hideous. I find that the best and most moral people are in fact either agnostic or atheist.

perhaps they are just good actors then.

I knew this one mormon woman from work. Easily the best person I have known. She never even cursed!.She had 4 kids, she was a sweet lady. it's funny, because I tried very hard to restrict my cussing around her. I wish I could stop cussing.

The only people who ever cared for me were religious people. everyone else treats me like I'm the worst scum of the earth.

Religious people are some of the most horrible people I have ever met. They are the most judgemental. They may not curse, but they are the most rude. I have been treated like crap by people like them.

One gets on with religious folks, the other doesn't. It sounds to me like one of them is making a mistake.
