If they were true rightwingers, they'd screw the poor and agribusiness.

Fez destroyed again...he really shouldn't engage in highbrow conversations that require intellect should he?

The attacks on the poor continue - I wonder how far Bush can push it...why don't people react or fight back? It's sad, very sad...

Bush is the one supporting cutting farm subsidies, not food aid.

Given that Bush is for cutting farm subsidies (not food aid), just admit that you had not read the article and jumped to a conclusion based solely on your political biases. Try not to dig the hole further.

No I read the article, but I hardly hear Bush denouncing it and trying to stop it in it's tracks. On the contrary, he is probably throwing his rattle out of his pram that he never thought of it himself!

Let's hope Bush takes his "compassionate conservatism" seriously. Even I'm not sure he's capable of this. Evil has its limits...

If it was capitalism , it would be no handouts to anyone . Not the poor , nor the rich farmers .

But here I agree , this is wrong . They should have started with farmer subsidies . Then imports from other countries would have lowered the cost of food , thus serving both purposes .

About 66% of the Camden School District gets free or reduced lunches. (that is a very high number) School lunches let little poor kids eat. They ought to be expanded.

I'm not a fan of President Bush these days, but I definetly support the plan to have deep cuts in farm subsidies. About time. Don't let the freaking Congressmen stop that!
