  • Did he have any other criminal convictions?

This seems weird - why wouid a person who looks as if they may well get off, go bonkers like that.

Do you think he thought the current trial was being conducted unfairly, or that the jury had been stacked or something?

    Seems odd.

    • Or the opposite. The prosecution can learn from the first trial what missing facts the hold-out jurors need to know to switch their votes to guilty.

          • Of course not... since there was no ruling in the first case.

No as long as there is no decision, they can retry it.

I read way to many lawyer books......

But quizzing the jury seems a bit too much like a second shot.

I favour letting anyone go if they can't get unanimity the first time.

Oh, of course, this guy was obviously innocent of all charges.

And tell celebrate he killed 3, maybe 4 people.

                    Who knows?

If the jury was 8 to 4 to acquit, then either he was innocent, the evidence was lousy, or the prosecutor was incompetent.

                    • A black man shoots a white judge, a cop, a court reporter, and a US immigration officer (two white men and two white woman) in Georgia. He is so going to be fried.

I thought it was lethal injection in Georgia.

I guess this has given the Cable networks a weekend of newscrimeporn, though.

                        • It would really be a shame if he was innocent in the first case.

Forcible sodomy?? Black? Shot the innocuous court reporter? I can sorta understand shooting the judge, they're like military servicemen. The American south?

75 years ago people would've been coming from miles around to stand in line and spit on his grave.

You're making false assumptions. The cop was black, so it was at least one black person involved. You seem to be racializing it when its not necessary.
