Sava, regarding the Croatian WW II history. As I said, you have been brainwashed by Serb propaganda, or else you wouldn't type such nonsense as you do.

During WW II Croatia was an occupied country with a quisling regime. Like much of the rest of Europe. These can be well described as the worst scum that ever walked this land. However, you have to know that there was also a strong Croatian partisan movement here. World War II here was in many ways a civil war, village against village and in some cases brother against brother. A messy affair.

Oh yeah, if all this isn't such a big issue, y'all may wonder why am I whining.

Well, I want Europe without borders. I want to travel all over it as its citizen. I already do feel as a European citizen, and I want to make it formal between me and the union.

Then, I can finally move to Finland and live off the damn 300 euro welfare check without doing anything (the average salary here is 600-700 euros). If only the climate was better...

And leave all that Roman and Renaissance history behind ?

The sun kissed nudist beaches, Diocletian's palace, little island hideaways in the Adriatic....

I remember we had a spat a long time ago about Serbs. As I recall, you are anti-Serb.
I don't remember such a debate, actually I don't recall many Apolyton discussion where you actually contributed more than 3 line arguments...

I only spend my time making coherent arguments to people who are pragmatic and/or open-minded and willing to engage in civilized debate.
Again, who's the one of us whose arguments are centered on insulting the other one?

But anything I post, you would simply call it Serb propaganda or something like that.
No, I would, like in all discussion, respond in detail to your arguments, poining out what I think are the flaws in the reasoning, like I always do in hard debate. Ancyrean and Heresson, both holding 100% opposite views on important and emotional issues (Armenian genocide and catholicism, respectively) can give testimony. I respect them, because they too know how to lead a discussion and make actual arguments.
All I got from you is a simplistic "Croats fascists, Serbs victims, Albanians terrorists"...

So instead of wasting my time, I'll just have fun with you. I have other "suggestions" for you, but this is a family site.
Even more civilised arguments on the topic, case closed.

Sava is trolling, I doubt he has serious discussion of any kind in mind. Although, it's always a possibility

I don't mind, it bumps my thread

Here is a recent poll that illustrates Croatian sentiment on this matter. The sample was 600 people.

27 % - Ivo Sanader and his government

24 % - European commission and other EU institutions

19 % - Carla del Ponte and ICTY

              7 % - Ante Gotovina

Question: Should Ante Gotovina be handed over to Hague?

              56 % - no

              26 % - yes

              16 % - undecided

Question: Is Croatia under unjustifiably hard pressure from EU?

              60 % - yes

              28 % - no

              11 % - undecided

Question: Will EU decision affect living standards in Croatia?

              50 % - no

              31 % - yes, for the worse

              9 % - yes, for the better

Question: Do you support Croatian entry to EU?

At least here, jews of eastern European origin or even birth tend not to follow the politics of the countries in eastern europe they came from. Why certain Israelis of Soviet origin are still fascinated with the FSU is another question

                      Hello TCO, wellcome back

We burned, raped and plundered our way to the coast, of course.
