First Grader Suspended Because Mother Wouldn't Spank Him
School officials defended the decision because parent-administered corporal punishment is clearly outlined in the school guidelines, something that parents must sign off on.
Im not even sure parents actually read all the paper work before the sign up their kid.

Do you suppose that if you mom had sent sis to her room without dinner sis would have mended her ways? I think not. Your sister's problems were deeper than that.
What mom should've done is beat the boyfriend with the vac cord. OK, that would'nt fly, but she could have called the police to arrest the bf for something like contributing to the delinquency of a minor. That way your sister gets to see that her actions affect people around her that she cares about. (Not that it is guaranteed to work better.)
My Dad used the switch. He'd hand the offender his pocket knife and we'd know what comes next. If you hated your gma I'd bet it is more than just the use of the switch.
No I hated my grand ma for the switch. and that alone. she hit us like 5 to 6 times each time she thought we did bad.

My dad did the same thing when we were kids we had to pick our own and if didnt like it we had to go get another one.
